Hutchinson Day Trip
Tour Strataca and Kansas Cosmosphere & Space Center

The Hutchinson day trip features tours of both Strataca (the Kansas Underground Salt Museum) and the Kansas Cosmosphere & Space Center. Both the Strataca and the Cosmosphere charge admission fees. Attendees will need to purchase their own tickets at each location. The good news is that there is a discount for visiting both museums on the same day.

The Salt Mine Tour is conducted 650 feet below ground and accessed via elevator. Admission rules specify no children under the age of 4 are allowed underground. In addition, items prohibited include guns, knives, tobacco products, chewing tobacco, e-cigarettes and pets (other than service animals). It is asked that attendees leave these items in their vehicles to avoid making a trip back out of the salt mine.
